Scouting Concord
• The key to Concord last three victories has been a defensive effort which has held opponents to 62.7 points per game and a shooting percentage of just 34.9 percent (64-for-183).
• The Mountain Lions continue to be one of the best rebounding teams in the nation, in terms of rebounding margin. CU's +6.7 rebound margin ranks 22nd in the country. Sophomore forward
Jordan Davis leads CU in rebounding (5.8 rpg).
• Another key to Concord's success this season has been contributions by the Mountain Lion reserves. CU has won the bench scoring battle nine times this year.
• The Mountain Lions are 7-0 when leading at halftime, 8-0 when shooting a higher percentage than their opponents and 7-2 when out-rebounding their counterparts.
• Sophomore guard
Mike Boyd has been Concord's main scoring force as of late. Boyd has averaged 19.8 ppg while shooting 52.6 percent (20-for-38) from the field and 46.2 percent (6-for-13) from three-point range in the last four games.
• Senior forward
Damien Tunstalle, who is 213 points away from becoming the 33rd 1,000-point scorer in CU history, is 10-for-20 from three-point range over the last four games.
• Sophomore forward
Alex McGlothin has come off the bench to average 7.3 points, 3.3 rebounds 1.7 steals and 1.0 assists per game with a field goal percentage of 47 percent (8-17) in 18.3 minutes per game in CU's last three games.
Scouting Alderson-Broaddus
The Battlers begin play Thursday winners of three consecutive games and slotted third in the WVIAC standings. A-B are led by the dangerous scoring duo of O'Dell Eargle (16.9 ppg) and Kurklin Bohanon (16.6 ppg). Eargle, who is shooting 61.5 percent from the field, is Alderson-Broaddus' main interior presence while Bohanon has been a threat from the perimeter having made 43.6 percent of his three-point attempts. A-B is the only team in the WVIAC ahead of Concord in rebounding margin which should make for an entertaining battle for every missed shot.
Scouting West Liberty
The Hilltoppers begin this week's play coming off of a loss against Charleston. WLU, which boasts a +31.0 scoring margin, is the WVIAC's top-scoring team at 111.9 points per game. The Hilltoppers up-tempo attack is led by Alex Falk's 19.9 ppg. Cedric Harris, the WVIAC's leader in assists, is second on the team in both scoring (17.9 ppg) and steals (3.7 spg).
