CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The Concord University men's cross country team took had nine runners place in the top-10 at the Golden Eagle Invitational hosted by the University of Charleston Saturday.
Robby Peters led the way with his second win, and third top-10 finish, of the season. Peters completed the course in 22:01.00.
Sterling Snyder claimed second place after clocking a time of 23:03.00, 18 seconds faster than third-place finisher TJ Abel of Glenville State.
Rounding out the top-finishers for Concord were
Nick Lucento (23:27) and
Cody Honaker (23:38).
Places six-10 also belonged to Concord with
Jake Munsey placing sixth (23:53),
Brandon Perdue coming in seventh (23:55),
Wes McKinney in eighth (24:46),
Craig Pritt in ninth (24:47) and
Brent Roark in 10th place (25:49).
Also competing for the Mountain Lions on Saturday were
Aaron Martin (13th – 26:33) and
Jacob Smutko (29:27).
Concord travels to Greensboro, N.C. next Saturday (Sept. 29) to take part in the Greensboro Invitational.
