Concord's softball team made some memories on its annual spring break trip – in the form of a four-game winning streak.

CU closed out its appearance at the National Collegiate Sports Invitational Spring Break event by winning two games in each of its last two days in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

On March 14, Concord's offense erupted in a 21-3 victory over Robert Morris University-Springfield (IL) in five innings.  Later that day, CU dropped Lycoming College (PA), 7-5.

On March 15, Concord met the same two teams, with similar results.  CU notched another five-inning run-rule victory of RMUS, 12-2, then blanked Lycoming, 4-0.

Concord went 6-2 in the NCSI event, raising its record to 10-8.

After playing more than a month's worth of road games, Concord will hold its home opener on Tuesday, March 20, hosting Lees-McRae College (NC) in a non-conference doubleheader.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 pm at the CU softball complex in Athens.
