Box Score CHARLESTON,W. Va. - The Concord University women's soccer team's quest for a conference championship was cut short Saturday night by West Virginia Wesleyan, who defeated the Mountain Lions, 2-0, in the semifinals of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.
Concord concludes its season having won nine out of its final 10 games, ending the season with an overall record of 10-7-2. CU entered the match on a nine-game winning streak, a school record.
West Virginia Wesleyan secured its spot in the conference championships with goals at 30:31 in the first half and 73:09 in the second half. For the game, Wesleyan held 14-5 and 4-1 advantages in shots and corners, respectively.
Concord was led by Sophomore 
Alyanna James, who recorded a team-high three shots on the night. Senior 
Erika Hoff and sophomore 
Paris Wood both tallied one shot each in the defeat.
Sophomore goalie 
Kaitlyn Wasylko stopped five shots in 90 minutes of action.
Kristen Hoo and Aleisha Rees scored both of the Bobcats' goals.
