LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Senior
Robby Peters finished in 17th place to lead the Concord men's cross country team at the 2012 NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championships Saturday in Lock Haven, Pa.
Edinboro University won the race while host Lock Haven and East Stroudsburg tied for second place. All three teams qualified for the Division II National Championships. Lock Haven's Alex Monroe won the race with a top time of 30:41.1.
Peters capped off his outstanding season with a time of 31:58.1. For the year, Peters won five races including the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship race. He missed qualifying for the National Championships by just three places.
The senior duo of
Nick Lucento and
Sterling Snyder were Concord's second and third finishers Saturday. Lucento finished the course in 34:00.1 to place 83rd and Snyder came in 95th with a time of 34:32.4.
Four more CU runners finished by each other with freshman
Jake Munsey placing 97th (35:24.1), senior
Craig Pritt coming in 98th (35:30.1), senior
Wes McKinney placing 99th (35:30.5) and freshman
Brandon Perdue rounding out the quartet in 100th place (35:31.9).
