The concept of inertia worked against the Concord Women's Soccer team in Saturday's non-conference match at Kutztown University.

Once the host Golden Bears' offense got in motion, it stayed in motion

Kutztown scored four goals in a span of less than 24 minutes right before halftime on the way to defeating the Lady Lions 6-0 at North Campus Field.

Janine Valerio opened the scoring in the 21st minute, and Maria Borland took over from there. Borland scored three straight goals – in the 25th, 42nd and 44th minutes – to give KU a 4-0 lead at the break.

Stephanie Borland scored in the 80th minute, and Maria Borland tallied her fourth goal of the match in the 90th minute.

Concord goalkeeper Kacey Hildebrand was kept busy by the Golden Bears' attack and wound up recording a remarkable 17 saves. Up next for Concord (0-2) is its WVIAC opener at Seton Hill on Saturday, September 10. Kickoff is scheduled for Noon in Greensburg, PA.
