COACHES PREDICT CONCORD WILL BE IN THE RUNNING FOR A TITLE

In any race, it's always good to start near the front of the pack.

Concord's Cross Country teams are indeed among the front-runners in this year's West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference coaches' poll.

The league's coaches believe the CU Women will finish a close third and that the Men will be among a tight group of four teams atop the standings.

Concord head coach Mike Cox welcomes back seven All-WVIAC performers from last year -- three women (Chelsea Callaway, Rachel Williams, Danielle Pye) and four me (Robby Peters, Nathan Rees, Craig Pritt, Nick Lucento).

The Mountain Lions begin their 2010 season at the VMI Relay in Lexington, VA on Friday, September 3.
