Lady Lions Bounced By Seton Hill

Griffins Grab Big WVIAC Road Win

The Concord Women's Basketball suffered its third loss in four games, falling to Seton Hill 70-61 Saturday, January 9 at the Carter Center.

The Lady Lions, who started the day in third place in the WVIAC, took an early 14-7 lead.  But the Griffins responded with four straight three-point baskets, and their 12-0 run put them in the lead for good.

Seton Hill led 32-28 at halftime, then took control of the game with a 13-0 run to open the second half.  Concord would get no closer than eight points after that.

Seton Hill's Katie Lintner, the reigning WVIAC Player of the Week, led all scorers with 26 points.  Jordan Burkes complemented her with 13 points, all in the second half.

Camisha Alexander topped the Lady Lions with 16 points, 13 after halftime.  Jolysa Brown notched a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Sierra Brown recovered from a slow start to add 11 points and seven rebounds.  Sidney Lindsey finished with 10 points, but had to leave the game with an apparent right ankle injury early in the second half.
