Davon Marion's first game in more than a year was a big one. The sophomore safety was responsible for helping to shift the momentum to Concord's side in the Mountain Lions' 24-21 win over Lenoir-Rhyne. With Concord trailing LRU 21-0 late in the second quarter, Marion forced a fumble, recovered the ball and proceeded to take it back for a touchdown to cut the LRU lead to just two scores. From there on, the Concord defense stepped up to hold the LRU offense scoreless for the remainder of the game, with Marion sealing the game up with interception in the fourth quarter. He also finished the game with 10 tackles, two of which were for a loss.
