Weitzel ran a school-record time of 14:12.00 in the 5,000-meter run at the Flames Invite hosted by Lee University. Weitzel's time in an NCAA Division II provisional time, and is 14th-best in the nation. The Athens, West Virginia native is now ranked top 15 nationally in two events.
