Kontio was profiled in the Concord Athletics Senior Spotlight recently. Kontio was a CCA Third Team All-American at the conclusion of the 2019 season. During her junior campaign, Kontio scored 11 goals and dished out three assists. Kontio earned her first All-Mountain East Conference First Team selection at the end of the 2019 season.
