Smith ran a pair of personal-record times at the Fred Hardy Invite. Smith clocked 1:00.36 in the 400-meter dash and finished ninth overall. The time for Smith ranks third in the Mountain East Conference. In the 400-meter hurdles, Smith ran 1:05.58--the second-best time in the MEC this season. Smith placed second in the event at the Fred Hardy Invite
