Beckner tossed seven shutout inning against Fairmont State Thursday afternoon, limiting the Fighting Falcons to four hits. Beckner struck out a career-high 12 batters in the game. Going into the game, FSU had the third-best team batting average in the MEC, but the Roanoke, Virginia native held Fairmont State to a team average of .153 for the game.
