Knowles ran a 15-second personal-best in the 5,000-meter run at the Milton G. Abramson Invite hosted by the University of Virginia. Knowles clocked a time of 19:18.81 en route to a sixth-place finish. The Christiansburg, Virginia native finished second among Division II runners in the field.
