Weitzel earned Atlantic All-Region honors after finishing 24th at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regionals Championship in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. Weitzel ran the 10,000-meter course in a time of 31:58 and was the top Mountain East Conference runner at the meet. Additionally, Weitzel is the first men's cross country all-region runner since Robby Peters in 2012.
