Varela-Payne was a consensus All-Atlantic Region Second Team selection in the postseason. He finished the year with eight wins on the mound to go with a 4.11 ERA. Varela-Payne struck out a single-season program record 106 batters during the spring. Opponents hit just .231 off Varela-Payne in 2026.
