Ward rolled to a pair of fourth-place finishes Saturday at the Marshall Invite. He clocked 8:41.12 in the 3,000-meter run which is the fastest time in the Mountain East Conference this season. In his first race of the afternoon, Ward posted a career-best time of 4:22.48 in the mile which is good enough for sixth in the MEC so far this winter. Ward was the top Division II finisher in each race.
