Jacob Emerson recently wrapped up his first season as the pitching coach for the Concord baseball program in 2025. 

The former Bluefield State pitcher followed his college head coach Drew Bailey to Athens. Emerson also played collegiately at fellow Division II Sioux Falls where he pitched from 2019-23 before using his final year of eligibility at BSU. Overall, Emerson pitched in 36 career games. 

During his first season as pitching coach at Concord, Emerson's pitching staff rolled up 288 strikeouts which ranks seventh-most in program history for a single season. At the conclusion of the 2025 season, weekend starters Jake Robinson (first team) and Zach Powell (honorable mention) were selected to the All-MEC Teams.
