Elton Gilkes starts his second season on the football staff at Concord. 

During his first season as the running backs at CU in 2025, the Mountain Lion rushers saw steady progression as the season went on. After amassing just one 100-yard game in the first four games of the season, Concord had at least 120 yards on the grounds in seven straight games to finish the 2025 season.

Under Gilkes' watchful eye, Concord had two 200-yard games on the ground, including 212 yards and three rushing touchdowns in the season finale at Ferrum.
