Sarah Mahar

Concord University women's soccer assistant coach Sarah Mahar starts her third season under Luke Duffy in the fall of 2018.

Mahar helped Duffy build the women's soccer program into a contender for the Mountain East Conference postseason in just two seasons. During Mahar's first season as assistant coach in 2016, CU won just three games, but made a seven-win improvement in the fall of 2017 and made the MEC Tournament for the first time in program history.

Mahar also helped coach three first team all-conference selection during her second season in Athens.

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Mahar played collegiately at Lees-McRae as a forward before being hired by Duffy in August 2016. At Lees-McRae, Mahar played in 72 games as a four-year starter, scoring 26 goals and assisting on 17 more. Mahar was a two-time first team all-conference selection during her playing days and was second team all-region in 2013 as a sophomore.
