Jamie Cluesman

Former Mountain Lion great Jamie Cluesman will begin her sixth season as an assistant coach for the Concord University women’s basketball team in 2014-15.
 
Since joining the Mountain Lions’ coaching staff, Cluesman has helped Concord to a 71-70 record and two trips to the semifinals of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament. Additionally, Cluesman has coached nine all-conference honorees as well as All-American Jolysa Brown.
 
Cluesman helped lead the Mountain Lions to a 54-31 record from 2009-2012 as CU went 15-13 in 2009-10, 17-12 in 2010-11 and 22-6 in 2011-12. The 22 wins in 2011-12 were a school record.

Before entering the coaching profession, she was a standout point guard for Concord from 2003-08. As a player, Cluesman led Concord to back-to-back 20-win campaigns in 2006-07 and 2007-08, individually earning second team All-WVIAC honors both seasons and a spot on the WVIAC All-Tournament Team in 2007 in addition to the team’s success. She ranked fifth in the nation in assists per game in both 2006-07 and 2007-08.
 
For her career, Cluesman appeared in 113 games while averaging per game totals of 8.8 points, 5.8 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.5 steals. She also shot 44.4 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from the free throw line over her career.

The Jonesville, Virginia native is Concord’s career leader in assists (655), assists per game, and steals (277) while also ranking third in blocked shots (64), fourth in games played and eighth in rebounds (536).

Cluesman earned her bachelor’s degree from Concord University in Athletic Training in 2008; the next year, she earned her master’s degree in Exercise Science from California University.

A member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, Cluesman also serves as Concord’s Assistant Compliance Coordinator.
