A Concord alumna, Kate (Golinsky) Wood makes her way back to CU to begin her third year as a full-time athletic trainer. 

She received her bachelor's of science in athletic training from Concord University in 2021. Additionally, Wood was a standout for the Concord cross country/track & field programs during her five-year career. She was on Concord's 2018 Mountain East Conference Championship Team in women's cross country. Wood was also a two-time all-conference second team performer in cross country (2016, 2021) and also finished runner-up in the 800-meter run at the MEC Championship in 2017. 

Prior to returning to Concord, Wood earned her master’s degree in sports management from Wingate University in 2022. While at Wingate, Wood worked with the cross country, track and field and triathlon teams.  

At Concord, she will work with the CU women's basketball team, cross country/track & field teams as well as the cheerleading squad.
