Logan Williams will be in his first season with the Concord football program on head coach Dave Walker's coaching staff in 2020.
Williams has had several stops, mostly along the Atlantic seaboard in his eight-year coaching career. Before entering the coaching ranks, Williams spent 10 years in the United States Navy.
In his lone season at West Virginia Wesleyan in 2019, Williams helped coach four All-Mountain East Conference selections including one of the best tacklers in the conference, John Merica—an All-MEC First Team selection. Under Williams' watchful eye, defensive linemen Harry Lewis and Aman Speed were second team all-conference while linebacker Grant Safford was on the all-conference honorable mention squad.
Williams spent time at Morgan State in Baltimore, Maryland as the defensive line coach where the Bears finished as one of the best defensive fronts in the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference (MEAC) during his two years. Morgan State ranked first in the MEAC in sacks in 2018 and was third in rushing defense.
Two other coaching stops have highlighted Williams' time in the collegiate ranks. He served as a graduate assistant at West Virginia in 2015 and 2016. And besides West Virginia Wesleyan, Williams also knows Concord well from his two seasons (2013-14) at former MEC school Shepherd.
During his service in the armed forces, Williams executed multiple deployments in service of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Odyssey Dawn.
Williams, along with his fiancé, Stacy Showe, have three kids: Grant, Leilani and Jackson.
