Tristan McGinnis

Former Concord pitcher Tristan McGinnis will start his second season as the baseball program's graduate assistant in 2019-20.

McGinnis assists with day-to-day duties of the program including field maintenance, practice and serving as the pitching coach for the Mountain Lions. In his first season as pitching coach for Concord in 2019, CU's pitching staff set the single-season program record for strikeouts with 369 while also sporting a 4.86 ERA.

While he was still in high school, McGinnis created the Student-Athlete Community Service Network (SACSN) which puts an emphasis on athletes serving in the community. With McGinnis' help, the non-profit organization has worked well-known names in sports including Joe Torre and Jack Nicklaus and their charity organizations.The SACSN National High School Baseball Team which McGinnis founded has had more than 80 MLB draft picks in the programs five year history including 10 first rounders and former Concord pitcher Will Guay who was a 24th round pick in 2019.

In addition to his roles with SACSN, McGinnis is the site supervisor and Team Freedom 14U coach for the USA Baseball National Championships East held annually in Jupiter, Florida.
