SALISBURY, N.C. – The Concord University women's cross country team recorded a third-place finish at Catawba's Fleet Feet Invite Saturday morning at Salisbury Community Park.
Concord scored 74 points. Catawba nearly perfect-scored the meet with 17 points.
Freshman
Violet Wall was impressive in her debut as she went under 20 minutes for the 5,000-meter course in a time of 19:53 to place seventh. Â
Senior
Katy Walkup finished just outside the top 10 as she stopped the timer at 20:28 for 12
th. Freshman
Avery Lilly was stellar in her first collegiate meet with a 16
th-place showing in 20:51. Junior
Sara Turner was inside the top 20 with a time of 21:05, good enough for 19
th.

Charlotte McGinnis was the final scorer for CU as she placed 26
th in 22:29.

Piper Doughton (23:36) and
Abbey Londeree (23:42) were 30
th and 31

Emma Willie ran 24:00 in 32
nd. Senior
Emma Londeree occupied 34
th with a time of 24:46. Freshman
Molly Jones was two spots back of E. Londeree in a time of 25:43.

Larissa Wickline capped the competitors for the Mountain Lions in a time of 27:50.
The individual winner was Catawba's Hannah Caudill who clocked 18:30.
CU heads to the Southern Showcase hosted by Jacksonville State in Huntsville, Alabama Friday.
