ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team scored twice in the second half and recorded its fourth straight shutout in a 2-0 win over West Virginia State Sunday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference game at Callaghan Stadium.
Even though the Mountain Lions (3-2-2, 3-0-2) MEC dominated possession and the run of play in the first half, Concord did not breakthrough until the 55

CU continued to control play over the next few minutes until West Virginia State (4-3, 4-1 MEC) took four of its nine shots between the 64
th and 77
th minutes. Sophomore goalkeeper
Maddie Loughborough was called on to make a sprawling save in the 75
th minute to preserve the goal advantage.
The Mountain Lions doubled their lead in the 78
th minute when after a free kick, a bounding ball was struck by freshman forward
Alana Ferguson and saved. However, the rebound came right back out to Ferguson who tapped a pass to sophomore forward
