ROAD WARRIORS
Of its five games already played, Concord has been the road team in three of them. The Mountain Lions won all three times away from home, outscoring opponents 8-3. Concord was victorious on the road against both of their upcoming opponents a season ago, scoring a 2-1 win in West Liberty and a 4-1 win in Wheeling.

ATOP THE MOUNTAIN
Despite the loss to Charleston, the Mountain Lions still sit in first place in the Mountain East Conference. They have nine points in the standings, already gathering three conference wins. CU has never won the MEC, but had their best finish in program history last season, as they finished second. Concord could add to this total as West Liberty comes in at sixth place in the conference and Wheeling is right behind them in seventh early on in the season.

TERRIFIC TRANSFERS
Three of Concord's new additions have gotten off to a great start in the Maroon and Gray. Junior forward Dominique Malhomme, junior forward Jaden McKree, and sophomore midfielder Issa El Assal have all scored goals in their first five games in the team. El Assal scored in the opener against Chowan and found the game-winner in Buckhannon to down the Bobcats late. Malhomme found his first against Charleston and McKree knocked one in against Point Park.

SCORING MACHINE
Concord's offense just keeps scoring. The Mountain Lions have scored in every game this season and lead the MEC in goals with 13. CU also leads the conference in assists with 10, which is five more than any other squad. Just last year, Concord was only held scoreless one time all season which came in the NCAA Tournament against Charleston. They are keeping that same pace this year, outscoring opponents 13-5 and outshooting them 72-52.

SCOUTING THE WEST LIBERTY HILLTOPPERS
The Hilltoppers have gotten off to a slow start in 2025. Still winless in conference play, they are still trying to hit their stride as the season really gets rolling. West Liberty does have a bright spot up front as Travis Scandalis was named MEC Offensive Player of the Week after two great performances. He netted his first goal of the season in the 2-2 draw at Davis & Elkins, and followed it up with another goal in their lone win of the season against California (Pa.). The Hilltoppers finished 6-10-3 a season ago, and are looking to make a leap under seventh-year head coach Sean Regan.

SCOUTING THE WHEELING CARDINALS
The Cardinals have also had a rough start and are trying to get back to winning ways. Wheeling just nabbed their first win of the season, a 2-0 victory on the road at Salem. They have had trouble scoring thus far, only netting four goals which is second fewest in the MEC. Conversely, they have allowed nine goals which is tied for the most in the conference. The Cardinals are an incredibly young team, continuing to rebuild with nine freshmen entering the squad in 2025.
