WISE, Va. – The Concord University volleyball team ran its winning streak to seven as it came back to down Barton in five sets at the Cavalier Classic Saturday morning inside the Prior Center.
Mountain Lions (7-0) rallied from a 2-1 deficit in the match, and a 7-4 margin in the fifth set to win 15-11 in the deciding game.

Meg Williams each collected a pair of kills in the run. After trading the next two points with Barton (3-3), back-to-back attack errors by the Bulldogs cliched the match for Concord.
After watching Barton hit .441 in the opening set, Concord rebounded from a 25-17 defeat in the opening game to win 25-20 in the second game. Concord hit .143 while holding BC to .045. The Mountain Lions ran off a 5-1 run with the score tied at 15-15 to give them the edge they needed to even the match.
In the pivotal third set, CU held a 21-18 lead. However, the Maroon and Gray was held to one point the rest of the game as they dropped the third game 25-22.
Momentum continued to belong to Barton as it opened up the fourth set on a 5-1 run. But, a kill from Stull kickstarted a 9-1 run that ended with a kill from freshman middle hitter
Addison Adkins, one of her 11 kills in the match.
Barton stayed within reach, but a lengthy scoring spurt of 8-1 by Concord put the Mountain Lions in firm control of the fourth game, 21-11. Williams tallied a pair of kills while Stull was in the middle of the run with one of her 12 kills in the contest.
CU closed out the game, 25-16, to force a fifth and deciding game.
Stull and Adkins led Concord offensively with 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Adkins added a .259 hitting percentage. Junior outside hitter

The Mountain Lions begin the Concord Classic 3:00 p.m. Thursday against Kentucky State before taking on Bluefield at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
