ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University head men's and women's golf coach
Carson Proffitt has announced the fall schedules for the two programs.
The women's team is slated for five tournaments during the fall campaign while the men's team throws in a tournament after the Mountain East Conference Championship for six total events.
Both teams start the year September 4-5 at the Wheeling Invite at Belmont Hills Country Club in St. Clairsville, Ohio. On September 8-9, the University of Charleston hosts a men's and women's tournament. The men's event is at Berry Hills Country Club while the women's tournament is at Edgewood Country Club in Charleston, West Virginia.
Next up for the women will be the Pipestem Intercollegiate September 15-16 at Pipestem State Park. The men's team will be in action the same two days at the Stonewall Collegiate at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia.
The Larry Edgell Classic at Green Hills Country Club in Fairmont, West Virginia serves as the final tune-up for the women's program, prior to the MEC Championship, September 22-23. And the men's team will have their final tournament before the conference championship at the same time at the Hannastown Invite hosted by California (Pa.) in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
The MEC Championship will be contested at Glade Springs Resort October 6-8 in Daniels, West Virginia.
For the men, the fall season wraps up at the Bluefield State Invite at Fincastle Country Club in Bluefield, Virginia October 20-21. The MEC Championship marks the end of the fall season for the women's team.
