RISING TO THE OCCASION
In Concord's four-game series split at West Virginia Wesleyan over the weekend, the bottom of CU's batting order came to the forefront. Batting in the seventh spot, senior outfielder
Demetri Jamison was 5-for-10 with two home runs and three RBI while collecting at least one hit in all four games. In terms of average, it's the best four-game stretch of the season for Jamison. Hitting sixth over the weekend, senior utility
MJ Hunter was 5-for-13 at the plate as he notched three hits in the third game of the series. Hunter has hit safely in 14 of the last 15 games, and has seen his average rise from .282 on March 29 to its current number of .356. Senior outfielder

OUT OF THE PEN
Concord used just two relief pitchers over the weekend with junior

Braylen Baker was used in the final inning in the final game of the series as he tossed a scoreless frame against the Bobcats. For Collins, he came out of the bullpen for his team-high 14
th appearance Sunday afternoon as he earned his second win of the season. Ahead of Tuesday's game, Collins has worked four consecutive scoreless appearances that covers 7.2 innings. NEEDING THE FULL NINE
The Mountain Lions have won three straight games over Emory & Henry. However, all three wins have been decided by three runs or less. In late February, Concord broke open a 5-5 game in the bottom of the eighth with a six-run rally. Jamison was responsible for a three-run triple to ignite the scoring. Junior outfielder
Korbin Bostic was 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI. Junior catcher
Kaden Swaim was 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles. Baker picked up his first career win on the mound by recording the final out in the top of the eighth in February versus Emory & Henry. In all three recent wins over the Wasps, CU has overcome a deficit in each game.
