ATHENS, W.Va. – As the final days of 2025 come off the calendar, the Concord University Sports Information Department will look back on the best moments from the past 365 days that includes All-American recognitions, plenty of growth and change in and around the Carter Center and unforgettable games and plays.
From December 22-31, the year-end countdown will highlight one moment each in the Best of 2025.
The top spot in the Best of 2025 for Concord Athletics is the celebration and recognition of three All-Americans:
Tiana Campbell (women's soccer),
Malher Santi Possu (men's soccer) and
Kollin Tolbert (men's basketball).
Tolbert was the first All-American during the calendar year as he picked up NABC First Team All-American honors in March. During his junior season, Tolbert averaged 21.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 51.7 percent from the field, 47.3 percent from three-point range and 88.8 percent at the foul line. Tolbert threw in 58 points at Charleston in November 2024 which was the second-most points in program history, and the top scoring game in Division II in 2024-25. Overall, Tolbert tallied five 30-point games during the season. His season was cut short on February 22 due to injury. Tolbert was the sixth All-American in the long-standing history of CU men's basketball.
Campbell was voted the eighth All-American in history of Concord women's soccer, earning a spot on the D2CCA All-American Third Team. She finished top 10 in Division II during the 2025 in goals (16) and points (36). Some of the top performances for Campbell included four braces during the regular season before collecting her first career hat trick in the Mountain East Conference Quarterfinals versus Point Park. She scored at least one goal in 10 of 19 games played during the season.
Santi Possu capped the All-American honors for the Mountain Lions as he made history individually. He became the first Mountain Lion men's soccer player to gain All-American status in the brief history of Concord men's soccer—dating back to 1998. Santi was a top-15 scorer in Division II in 2025 with 13 goals. He finished the year with 30 points which was also top 15 in the nation. Santi Possu bagged two hat tricks during the season, including one to open the season. He finished off his impressive campaign with a two-goal game in the MEC Semifinals versus West Liberty.
Tolbert and Santi Possu became the 25
th and 26
th First Team All-American in the history of Concord Athletics.
Additionally, all three athletes have since moved to the Division I level. Tolbert is waiting to make his debut at East Texas A&M while recovering from a knee injury. Campbell has committed to continuing her career at Big 12 member school Cincinnati, and Santi Possu has inked his name to finish his collegiate soccer career at Florida International in Miami. Â
