CRUNCH TIME CHLOE
Junior outside hitter Chloe Thompson picked up 14 kills in both matches this past weekend against Wheeling and West Liberty. Across those two matches, Thompson tallied 10 kills after Concord reached the 20 point mark in each set. On the season, she's up to 2.90 kills per set which is second on the team to fellow junior outside hitter, Meg Williams (3.07).

HIGH STAKES ROAD TRIP
The Mountain Lions play their next three matches on the road as the Mountain East Conference season has three weeks left ahead of the conference tournament. Concord first faces West Virginia State who they defeated 3-1 earlier in the season. Williams collected 12 kills and 12 digs against the Yellow Jackets. Junior middle hitter Jasmine Anderson threw in a then career-high 11 kills. Anderson added five blocks while junior libero Allie Davis netted 25 digs. Next up, CU travels to Fairmont State to face the third place team in the North Division. The Mountain Lions wrap up the trip with a match against the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats. Concord took the first meeting in a five-set thriller. Williams had 18 kills as well as 19 digs and Thompson had 14 kills and 18 digs. All three of these squads have winning overall and conference records.

DO IT AGAIN
Concord has a chance to sweep West Virginia State for the first time since 2016. That was also the year that Concord last defeated the Yellow Jackets in Institute. They pulled off the reverse sweep after dropping the first two sets. Earlier this season, CU led with 51 kills and 10 aces to help secure the win. Freshman middle hitter Addison Adkins and Williams both had three services aces while junior setter Paige Richmond recorded two aces.

FLASHBACK TO LAST YEAR
A season ago, Concord took down Fairmont State for the first time in program history with a 3-1 victory at home. Williams picked up a double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs. Davis tallied 20 digs in the match. The Mountain Lions led in every major statistical category. While Fairmont leads the all-time series 36-1, Concord searches for back-to-back wins.

SCOUTING THE WEST VIRGINIA STATE YELLOW JACKETS
West Virginia State has been playing their best volleyball as the regular season nears its end. The Yellow Jackets have one of the best players in the conference in senior middle blocker Nicole Gartner-Custodio. She leads the MEC in hitting percentage (.350) and blocks per set (1.47). Concord picked up their first win over WVSU since 2017 with a 3-1 victory at home earlier this season.

SCOUTING THE FAIRMONT STATE FALCONS
Fairmont State has bounced back from a three-game skid with two straight wins. The Fighting Falcons currently sit at third in the MEC North, but the top of the conference is just separated by two games. They have two of the premier players in the MEC with senior outside hitter Joey Borelle and senior libero Josie Skinn. Borelle leads the conference in kills per set with 3.82 and Skinn tops the MEC with 5.51 digs per set.
