ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University Athletic Department is proud to announce that Saturday's football game between Concord and West Virginia Wesleyan will be broadcast on WVVA-TV, the NBC affiliate out of nearby Bluefield, West Virginia.
Concord and WVVA-TV have a long-standing relationship that dates back to the local network station broadcasting Concord's national quarterfinal and Super Region One Championship game in 2014.
WVVA-TV general manager Charity Holman is a Concord graduate.
Unlike other games that have been broadcast on WVVA, this game will be student-produced by current broadcast communication majors at CU, thanks in part to the team led by professors William Bailey and Larry Marrs.
The talent for the game will be the usual Concord duo of Jason Reed (play-by-play) and Steve Cox (color) in the booth with the addition of Samantha Field, a current CU sophomore working the sideline.
Kickoff for Saturday's game is slated for 2:04 p.m.
