2023 REVIEW
CU came up with a third-place showing at the Mountain East Conference Championship for the fourth consecutive year as Emily Wallace was on the All-MEC First Team for the fourth straight season. Junior Katy Walkup wound up on the All-MEC Second Team for the second time in as many years, and senior Madison Cornett earned All-MEC Second Team for the first time in her career.

2024 SCHEDULE
Back-to-back meets at Virginia Tech on September 6 and 20 get the season started. Concord travels to Lehigh October 5 and heads to Queens in Charlotte, North Carolina October 11. The final regular season meet comes October 18 as the Mountain Lions hosts their alumni meet at Pipestem State Park. The MEC Championship will be held October 26 in Wheeling, West Virginia at Oglebay Resort. The Atlantic Regional Championship is November 9.

THE RETURNERS
The Mountain Lions are tasked with replacing the decorated career of Wallace, but Cornett and Walkup bring valuable experience back to a youthful roster. Senior Erin O'Sullivan just missed All-MEC Second Team last season with a 21st-place showing at the conference meet. Sophomore Charlotte McGinnis was just outside the top 30 of the MEC Championship. Sophomore Abbey Londeree and junior Emma Londeree were consistently in CU's top seven a season ago. Sophomores Hayley Collins, Piper Doughton and Sarah Turner all gained experience at the MEC Championship last season.

THE NEWCOMERS
Concord will have just two new faces to the program this season in freshmen Larah Blevins (Floyd, Va./Floyd County) and Kate Kelly (Jersey Village, Texas/Jersey Village). Though just new athletes to the women's cross country program, head coach Mike Cox also welcomes two new assistant coaches with Al MacNaughton and Giovanni Purser on board for the 2024 season.
