ATHENS, W.Va. – Over the last few years at the conclusion of the academic year, the Concord University Sports Information Department takes a look back at each sport's program success in the recently completed season in an "Inside the Numbers" series.

After a look at Concord volleyball a couple weeks ago, the next sport to be spotlighted is Concord football.

14- Career 300-yard passing games by quarterback Jack Mangel.

18- Tackles by linebacker Jamari Smith against West Liberty, the most for a CU player since 2017.

44- Yards covered by linebacker Brodee Rice on his fumble return for a touchdown at UNC Pembroke in the final game of the season.

78- Tackles by defensive back Kendall Bournes during his freshman season—the most tackles by an MEC freshman in 2023.

81- Passing touchdowns by Mangel, the most in program history.

83- Yards that a Josh Hutley punt covered against West Liberty. It was the longest punt in the MEC this season and the third longest in Division II.

210- Career receptions by Kris Copeland, one of three players in program history with 200 or more receptions.

226- Rushing yards by TJ Finney in a win over West Virginia Wesleyan. It was just the third 200-yard rushing game for CU in the last decade.

957- Receiving yards by Copeland, marking the third straight season that Concord had a receiver with 950 or more receiving yards.
