LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Concord University women's cross country team finished 21
st at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championship Saturday morning at the Long Branch Cross Country Course.
Concord scored 506 points. Davis & Elkins clipped Slippery Rock for the regional title as the Senators scored 93 points to SRU's 100 points. East Stroudsburg (114 points) was the third team out of the Atlantic Region advancing to the NCAA Division II Championship.
Junior
Katy Walkup led all Concord runners as she ran 22:32 for the 6,000-meter course and finished 52
nd. Senior
Madison Cornett was 96
th in the scoring as she clocked 23:36. Freshman
Kate Kelly ran 24:00 which was 109
th in the scoring. Sophomore Sarah Turner crossed in 24:29 while the fifth and final scoring runner for CU was sophomore
Charlotte McGinnis who completed the course in 25:31.
Junior
Emma Jenkins (26:06) and sophomore
Abbey Londeree (26:48) rounded out the Mountain Lions.
Saturday was the conclusion of the season for Concord.
