ATHENS, W.Va. – Senior forward Fabian Amhof of the Concord University men's soccer team has been tabbed to the College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

Amhof, a native of Hitzkrirch, Switzerland, lands on the team for his efforts on the field and in the classroom.
As a business administration major, Amhof carries a 3.83 GPA in the classroom. And for his work, Amhof made the All-Mountain East Conference Academic Team at the conclusion of the fall 2023 semester.

On the field, Amhof has had back-to-back seasons of being named All-MEC. In 2023, Amhof was CU's second-leading goal scorer as he finished six goals. He has added eight more goals through 20 games this season, landing him All-MEC Honorable Mention. His 14 goals rank in the top 10 in program history at Concord.

Additionally, Amhof has helped guide two consecutive CU teams to the MEC Tournament, and this season the Mountain Lions qualified for the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time in program history.

It was also released on Tuesday that Amhof advances to the Academic All-American ballot. The Academic All-American winners are released in December.

To be considered for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and play in 90 percent of their team's games or start 66 percent of those contest.

Concord faces New Haven in the NCAA Tournament 3:00 p.m. Friday on the campus of the University of Charleston.
