HISTORY IN THE MAKING
The Mountain Lions netted a season-high six goals in defeating Emory & Henry, 6-2, Wednesday night in a non-conference game. It had been nearly six years since CU put up six goals in a game, going back to October 31, 2018 versus Bluefield University. Junior midfielder
Malher Santi Possu tallied a hat trick which was Concord's first hat trick since the 2018 contest versus BU. Senior forward
Fabian Amhof netted his second brace in the last three games in the victory as well. The four-goal win was Concord's 12
th overall win of the year, and on Sunday the Mountain Lions can match the single-season program record for wins that was set by the 2000 squad. The current eight-game winning streak is tied for third among Division II teams with St. Mary's (Texas).
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Concord's eight-game winning streak began with a 3-0 win over Salem October 6. The Maroon and Gray received goals from freshman midfielder
Kyle Gordon (57'), junior forward
Richard Henry (63') and junior defender
Kai Forsyth (88'). Led by Forsyth, the Concord backline held Salem to three shots for the game. Junior forward
Patrick Alouidor and junior midfielder
Darian Bradshaw both registered assists in the game. CU has outscored Salem 8-1 in three consecutive wins over the Tigers. Of the five goals scored by Concord last season versus SU, Amhof assisted on three of those.
