MEC CHAMPIONSHIP NOTES
The MEC Championship is being held at Glade Springs for the first time since 2019. The last time it was held 30 minutes from CU's campus, the Mountain Lion men were the team champions.

At last year's MEC Championship, Eades led the way for Concord as he shot rounds of 76 and 80 to make the third-round cut. Eades placed in a tie for 18th. Eades and fellow senior Payton Watts are the only two Mountain Lions that have experience at the MEC Championship. On the men's side, the defending team champion is Davis & Elkins and the individual medalist from last season was West Virginia Wesleyan's Francisco Taboada who is no longer with the program. CU's roster for the MEC Championship is Eades, freshman Coltan Farrell, Pimenov II, Watts and Willson make up the men's field for Concord.

Denny and Fry bring championship experience from years' past to the MEC Championship. In nine rounds of competition, Denny has averaged 84.1 at the conference tournament. Fry posted a second-round score of 89 at last year's MEC Championship, one of three rounds in the 80s for the Wayne, West Virginia native last season. Freshmen Autumn Bowles, Alexandria Denny and Matos Tamargo have their first go-arounds at the MEC Championship. Glenville State was the team champion last year while there will be a new individual champion after GSU's Lexis Fickel has moved on from 2023.
