TOP OF THE LEAGUE
Friday showcases four of the MEC's top 10 hitters when Concord sophomore outside hitters Meg Williams and Chloe Thompson face off with Fairmont State junior outside hitter Joey Borelle and junior right side Baylie Ostvig. Williams and Thompson pace the CU offense swinging for 3.05 and 2.91 kills per set, respectively. Williams recently logged an 18-kill, 22 dig performance at West Liberty while Thompson has recorded double-digit kills in four of her last five games played. Borelle leads the league hitting 3.68 kills per set and ranks 58th nationally. Ostvig sits at 65th nationally averaging 3.63 kills per set and has five 20-kill games this fall. Additionally, FSU junior defensive specialist Josie Skinn (5.38) and Concord sophomore defensive specialist Allie Davis (4.91) are the top two liberos in the league in digs per set. Skinn ranks 18th in Division II while Davis checks in at 45. Both Davis and Skinn have had at least 10 digs in every contest this fall except for one.

PLENTY OF ASSISTANCE
While four of the league's top attackers are on display, so are two of the best setting units in the conference. CU sophomore setter Paige Richmond (5.52) and Fairmont State junior setter Kelsie Dangerfield (6.29) both rank inside the top 10 in the MEC in assists per set. However, both teams will also rotate setters. Concord sophomore setter Declyn Tooze is averaging 4.29 assists per set and adds a team-best 0.36 service aces per set that ranks ninth in the conference. Fairmont State freshman setter Belle DeValle averages 4.09 assists per set and has notched at least 10 assists in eight straight games along with seven double-doubles.

LOOKING FOR REVENGE
Monday will be the second and final regular season meeting between the Mountain Lions and West Virginia Wesleyan in 2024. WVWC took the first matchup in five sets in Buckhannon after a back-and-forth affair. The Bobcats won the first and third sets while CU took the second and fourth sets to force a winner-take-all fifth frame. Both teams traded points in the fifth game before WVWC pulled ahead and won the match 15-10. It was a balanced performance from the Maroon and Gray with Thompson (16), Williams (13), and senior middle hitter Kyndra Pilant (10) hitting for double-digit kills. Richmond (22) and Tooze (21) led CU in assists with Tooze tacking on three aces. Sophomore right side Natalie Brown added her career-high of six blocks and Davis had 19 digs.
