TOE-TO-TOE WITH THE BEST
The Mountain Lions hosted MEC-leading West Virginia Wesleyan Wednesday afternoon as the teams played to a scoreless draw. In 24 all-time meetings, it was the first time that CU and WVWC had played to a draw. Sophomore goalkeeper Keegan Grant recorded his second shutout of the season—also the second of his career by stopping four shots. The CU defensive back line of sophomore Kai Forsyth, freshman Zakari Messam and juniors Andre Sardinha and Dwight Savoury have been stout this season by only allowing two goals in three completed game and four games total—by factoring in the suspended game with Davis & Elkins. The unit has a scoreless streak of 221 minutes entering Sunday.

NO HOMEFIELD ADVANTAGE
Dating back to the 2019 season, the road team has won the last six games between Concord and Wheeling, including CU picking up a 2-0 victory at WU in 2022 and a 3-1 win in 2021. Senior midfielder Ricardo Chinea-Pegler had a hand in last year's win as he assisted on a 50th minute goal and scored his own in the 80th minute. The Mountain Lions lost to Wheeling at home last season, 4-1, as Concord was unable to hold onto a 1-0 lead after a goal in the 15th minute.

TAKING ON THE BEST
Concord squares off with Charleston Wednesday afternoon in what could be the first time facing the Golden Eagles when they are not nationally ranked since 2013. The Golden Eagles were ranked second in Division II before losing to West Virginia Wesleyan last weekend. UC dropped out of the polls after the defeat. Not only has Charleston been ranked when Concord plays UC, but the Golden Eagles have been inside the top 10 in the last 15 consecutive meetings, including being first nationally once in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
