BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – After an upset win over West Virginia State in Thursday's Mountain East Conference Tournament semifinals, the Concord University women's basketball team takes on Charleston in the MEC Semifinals 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Mountain Lion were eliminated from the MEC Tournament by top seed West Liberty Friday night in quarterfinal action.
Head coach
Tesla Southcott and Concord are seeking the program's first conference championship game appearance since 1987. Saturday is the third conference semifinal appearance for CU in the last five years, and this will be the second time Concord faces Charleston after being eliminated by the Golden Eagles in 2019.
