Complete All-Region Teams
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Sophomore defender
Kai Forsyth of the Concord University men's soccer team has been tabbed to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-Atlantic Region First Team, the organization released Tuesday afternoon.
Forsyth, a native of Derby, England, was voted to the all-region first team after helping one of the top defenses in the Atlantic Region to seven shutouts during the season. Forsyth captained Concord to an 8-5-7 record as it advanced to the Mountain East Conference Semifinals for the first time in program history. Forsyth netted one goal with a tally at West Liberty in early September. Forsyth, CU's starting center back, was a driving force in only allowing 1.1 goals per game. He finished fourth on the team in total shots (19).
This is Forsyth's second all-region selection of the postseason after he landed on the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team. Additionally, Forsyth is the first, first team all-region player for Concord in program history.
