HISTORIC SEASON IN THE MAKING
With Wednesday's 1-0 win over West Liberty coupled with a Frostburg State loss at West Virginia Wesleyan, the Mountain Lions clinched a spot in the MEC Tournament which will be held in early November. CU has qualified for the conference tournament for the first time since 2000 when it won a program-record 13 games. Wednesday's victory was the sixth of the season for the Maroon and Gray as they matched the second-most wins in program history—most recently done by the 2016 squad. The 19 goals scored by Concord this fall are the most since the 2016 team posted 26 goals. Junior midfielder
Fabian Amhof has recorded 17 points this season while sophomore midfielder
Tomas Kelly needs one more point to reach 15. It would be the first time since 2000 that CU has two players with 15 or more points in the same season.
SECOND-HALF SCORERS
Concord has made a habit of scoring in the second half this season with 12 of the 19 goals on the season coming after halftime. To go further, 14 of the 19 goals for the Mountain Lions have been scored after the 30
th minute. CU held to form in Wednesday's win over West Liberty as junior midfielder
Elvis Gomez scored in the 43
rd minute on junior midfielder
Andre Nicholson's sixth assist of the season. Scoring off Nicholson's corner kick was the third time in the last five games Concord has scored off a set piece.
RETURN TO PLAY
Sunday's games will be an oddity as the first game will be the resumption of the September 10 game that was suspended to due to a lengthy lightning delay in September. Amhof scored in the 56
th minute on a cross from junior forward
Armando Ramirez. Sunday's two games are of importance. CU starts the weekend tied with West Liberty for fifth place in the MEC with 14 points—though Concord owns the tiebreaker on head-to-head results—and just two points back of Davis & Elkins for fourth place. WVWC sits on 17 points in third place. If Concord can hang on to the 1-0 lead, it would be the first win over Davis & Elkins since 2001.

Grant Wyles has stopped just under 80 percent of the shots he's faced and has a goals-against average of 1.10.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Playing in the competitive South Atlantic Conference, Tusculum has managed some positive results. On October 4, the Pioneers tied fourth-ranked Limestone, and in September defeated 16
th-rated Coker. Before playing Concord, TU hosts 20
th-ranked Wingate. Mo Bouta, Artur Marques and JP Vital have all scored four goals this season. Concord and Tusculum do have a mutual opponent in Emory & Henry as the Pioneers scored seven goals in a shutout win over E&H earlier in October.
