BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team scored a season-high nine goals in a shutout win, 9-0, over Salem Wednesday night in a non-conference game.
Eight different players scored in the contest with four Concord (7-3-2) players recording three or more points.
CU struck for two goals in the first seven minutes of the game as sophomore midfielder

Fleming scored unassisted in the 25
th minute, and the final first-half goal came from graduate forward
Alexa Todd as she received a free kick from Cook and found herself one-on-one with the Salem (0-9-1) goalkeeper.
A whole new 11 took to the pitch for the Mountain Lions in the second half.

Kylene Franklin scored the first of her two goals, unassisted in the 47
th minute.
Six minutes later, freshman defender
Payton Harvey tallied her first career goal.

Katie Garratt scored just over two minutes after Harvey's goal while Franklin capped her first career multi-goal game in the 61

Anna Davis wrapped up the scoring in the 87
th minute with her second goal of the season.
Cook, Davis and Fleming all had an assist and goal in the game. Franklin became the fourth different CU player with a brace this season, joining freshman midfielder

The nine goals scored by CU were the most since October 31, 2021 at Alderson Broaddus when it posted 10 goals.

The Mountain Lions ripped off 38 total shots in the game with 28 on frame.
Concord returns to the YMCA Cline Complex in Beckley to host West Liberty on Senior Day 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
