On Friday night, senior middle hitter
Amber Hall went over 200 blocks as she became the fifth player in the last decade of the program to record 200 or more blocks. Of Hall's 200 career blocks, 68 have been solo which is ninth most in program history. To reach the top 10 in career blocks at CU, Hall would need catch former teammate
Sheridan Herron who recorded 255 career blocks from 2018 to 2021.
CAREER NIGHT
In Concord's five-set setback against West Virginia Wesleyan, sophomore outside hitter
Gracie Brackney tallied a career-best 18 kills and just missed a double-double with nine digs. Additionally, Brackney hit a robust .308 in the match. It's the fourth-highest percentage of the season for the Plainfield, Indiana native. Brackney's career night helped freshman setter
Kenzee Chaffin go over 40 assists for the fourth time this fall. Chaffin starts the week fifth in the MEC in assists per set (6.98).
OFFENSE VERSUS DEFENSE
Steele and the Concord offense will go up against a stiff Charleston defense that's only allowing opponents to hit .122 this season, fourth in the MEC. CU enters the contest hitting .155 this season, but the Mountain Lions have hit .200 or better in six of their last 10 matches. Hall hit .250 Friday night and Steele had a clip of .205. Additionally, Chaffin recorded a career-best eight kills versus WVWC. Charleston's defense is paced by Reagan McLean who is first in the MEC in blocks per game (1.39). Davis & Elkins is allowing opponents to hit .161.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Charleston enters the week having won nine straight matches and only dropping two sets during its win streak. McLean's block rate ranks seventh in Division II. Offensively, Charleston is paced by Sage Bearnson's 3.45 kills per set, ranking fifth in the MEC. McKenzie Damon is just ahead of Steele with 3.17 kills per game, seventh in the conference.

D&E opened up MEC play with a four-set victory over Glenville State at home, where they are undefeated this season. The Senators' most recent match was a four-set loss to Charleston. Macie Magallon is fourth in the MEC in kills per set (3.58). Her setter, Brilane Manchego is third in the conference in assists (9.43 per set).
