BECKLEY, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team lost to Davis & Elkins 2-1 Saturday night in a Mountain East Conference battle at the YMCA Paul Cline Complex.
All three goals in the game came in the first half.
The Senators (2-1, 1-1 MEC) wasted no time getting on the board as they scored 27 seconds into the contest. And D&E would go on to add a goal in the 17
th minute.
The Mountain Lions struck in the 36
th minute as junior defender
Olivia Bekeleski found the back of the net. The Mansfield, Ohio native's first career goal came after a corner kick, and a shot from fifth-year senior forward
Leah Foster was saved, but deflected to Bekeleski.
Both teams took 10 shots in the first half.

Millard fired a shot off the right post in the 72

th minute.
CU owned an 18-14 edge in total shot and had seven corner kicks to D&E's six. Foster registered five shots while Fleming had four shots with three on frame.
Fifth-year senior goalkeeper
Leah Marsh made nine saves in the contest.
Concord begins a two-game road trip 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at West Virginia Wesleyan.
