IMPRESSIVE DEBUT
Freshman setter
Kenzee Chaffin played in all 13 sets for the Mountain Lions over the weekend at the Queens Classic. She handed out 80 assists, an average of 6.15 per set which ranks eighth in the Mountain East Conference after the opening weekend of play. Included in Chaffin's output was 27 versus North Greenville. Junior middle hitter
Kyndra Pilant nearly recorded a double-double in her third career game in the Maroon and Gray with six kills and 10 digs against NGU.
BACK ROW SWINGING

Gracie Brackney and
Hannah Steele were stellar in the first weekend of the season. For Brackney, she had a career-best 15 digs versus Mount Olive, and added another 12 digs against Wingate to close the weekend. For Steele, she leads Concord in kills through four games, rolling up 29 kills. She had eight kills and hit .286 versus North Greenville.
BACK HOME AGAIN IN THE CARTER CENTER
The Mountain Lions will be the host for the Fourth Annual Concord Classic this weekend. The first match comes against Salem who CU was 2-0 last season, and is 21-3 against the Tigers all time. Steele had 32 kills over seven last season versus Salem. Fifth-year senior defensive specialist
Kelli Ellison notched a career-best 33 digs in the win at SU last fall. The Maroon and Gray will be looking to avenge a road loss at UVa.-Wise in their first match Friday. Sophomore defensive specialist
Kaylee Spees collected a career-best 22 digs against the Cavaliers.
The other three opponents will be relatively unknowns for CU. Concord is 0-5 against IUP all-time, and has never faced Cal U or West Georgia.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Salem will be looking to win its first set of the season this weekend. Most recently, the Tigers lost to Glenville State Monday night in three sets.

SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS
UVa.-Wise's lone contest of the season was a sweep of Bluefield State last weekend. Kaylee Scarce had 13 kills. The Cavaliers did not allow Bluefield State to reach 20 points in any of the three sets. The two teams will meet again 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Concord.

SCOUTING THE CRIMSON HAWKS
The Crimson Hawks picked up a pair of four-set wins last weekend against East Stroudsburg and Jefferson. Caroline Walsh leads IUP in kills after two matches with 25 while hitting .346. Indiana (Pa.) will meet Salem Friday morning before opposing Concord in Friday's final match at 7:00 p.m.

SCOUTING THE WOLVES
West Georgia has three players with 30 or more kills so far this season: Emilee Harris (36), Zoe Labreche (35) and Caitlin Frazee (30). UWG is coached by former Urbana head coach Kara Hellmann. The Wolves' lone win came against Young Harris in five sets on Saturday.

SCOUTING THE VULCANS
Cal U hosted its own tournament last weekend as it won matches over Bloomsburg and Lake Erie, but fell to MEC foe Frostburg State. Kaylin Burkey leads the Vulcans with 33 kills. Alexa Malloy added 30 more kills in the first weekend of play.
