ATHENS, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced the seeding for the upcoming men's and women's basketball tournament that gets underway Wednesday at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia.
The top 10 teams for each gender qualified for this year's MEC Tournament with all games played at Wheeling's WesBanco Arena.
The Concord women's basketball team, the fourth seed, will play its quarterfinal round game against Notre Dame 8:15 p.m. Thursday with the winner moving on to play the winner of Glenville State and Alderson Broaddus/Wheeling in the Saturday's semifinal round.
The Concord men's basketball team earned the sixth seed, and has its quarterfinal matchup against Charleston 2:30 p.m. Friday with the winner advancing to the semifinal round against either West Virginia State or Alderson Broaddus/Davis & Elkins.
