Athens, W.Va. – The Concord University women's basketball team was defeated by Glenville State 105-67, Saturday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference game at the Carter Center.
The Mountain Lions (12-6, 7-5 MEC) made it a competitive first quarter, trading blows with the third-ranked Pioneers (16-0, 11-0 MEC). Sophomore guard

Jazz Blankenship each nailed a three-pointer with Ratcliff's triple giving Concord an early 7-5 advantage. Fifth-year senior forward

Maggie Guynn had a layup and went two-for-two at the charity stripe.
CU's lead three minutes into the game was the only time the Mountain Lions held the lead. Blankenship's three-pointer got Concord within 20-14, but it was as close as CU would get the rest of the way.
Glenville State controlled the rest of the game, scoring 27 points off turnovers.
Ratcliff scored a team-high 15 points, with two three-pointers. Fitzwater went 7-7 from the field and finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocked shots.
Redshirt junior forward
Alexis Phillips ended her night with nine points and six rebounds. Blankenship hit two-of-three shots from beyond the arc and finished with eights points.
Concord faces Notre Dame Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in a MEC matchup at the Carter Center.
